Qualifications & prior work experience:
1) Educational Qualification: MBA from a reputed institution
2) Experience: 8 to10 years of experience in FMCG/FMCD sales & distribution; Prior experience in roles of Customer Marketing, Modern Trade and e-commerce will be given preference; Demonstrated ability of handling teams and working with multiple stakeholders
3) A candidate with prior understanding/experience in rural markets will be given preference. (Having a house and family in villages does not constitute rural understanding)
4) Others: Excellent Communication & Analytical Skills are a must for this role. We also expect the candidate to be Proficient at MS office (Power point, Excel and word). You should be willing to take initiative and find solutions to problems with an entrepreneurial Mindset
5) This role reports to Chief Growth Officer and will have a reporting team of 4 to 5 KAMs and a MIX executive.
Job Responsibilities :
1) Identification of key categories and companies in building a diversified portfolio of products that can be taken to Kirana stores in rural. Doing Competitor Analysis, Monitoring marketplace products, and pricing; leveraging internal and external data sources to identify gaps/ opportunities.
2) Developing detailed launch plans to onboard new products and its systematic monitoring and development for the first 12 months.
3) Building Joint Business Plans with partnering companies and ensuring its achievement. JBPs to include focus on building assortment, increasing lines sale, ensuring visibility drives and building greater reach across distributors and retailers.
4) Be responsible for the P&L of all Brands and drive systematic growth for them over time. Responsible for the complete PL, Sales, Operations, Inventory, pricing, and gross margins. Analyzing sales and expense reports to improve margin, revenue, and processes.
5) Building forecasts at a product and regional level in conjunction with objectives of partnering companies and LMCEs strengths and expansion plans.
6) Developing Schemes and promotional campaigns in line with margin structures and overall business priorities. Ensuring appropriate communication campaigns to ensure that the team has well understood the monthly plans and is geared to achieve the targets.
7) Monitoring the weekly, daily, seasonal, and/or one-time reports
8) Handling a direct team of 4 to 5 KAMs service across multiple business categories and geographies. Setting and achieving aspirational growth targets for the team members.
9) Represent the KAM team in internal meetings and also educate about new partnerships, product launches
10) Developing the SOP in conjunction with internal stakeholders and making changes to achieve higher efficiency levels and evolving business needs.
11) Building business plans for the year and ensuring its adherence on Value, Business Hygiene and process Metrics. Also ensure region wise and brand wise growth across product categories.
12) Working with Supply chain, Logistics, CRM and field teams to ensure smooth operations and executions. Building strong working relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization to achieve business goals.
