Letz Dream Foundation - Manager - Communications (5-7 yrs)
The Communications Manager will be responsible for managing content online and offline, writing project reports, documenting best practices, case studies and administering the online/social media strategy.
The position will
- Have a proactive approach to innovative ideas
- Have awareness and understanding of the type of content required for internal and external stakeholders
- Have knowledge of reading and mapping insights from social media channels and google analytics
- Proficiency in using new media platforms for effective communication
- Research, monitor, evaluate and present a recommendation to improve all communications on a regular basis.
- Create, copy edit, proofread and coordinate for periodic newsletters/ blog posts/updates / reports / communications to various stakeholders
- Lead social media updates
- Create content to be shared online and physical materials to be shared with our partners and other stakeholders
- Recommend and implement content changes on the website and keep content on the website up to date
- Travel to project sites to capture project highlights
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Expert level written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Tactical understanding on Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Wordpress).
- Experience developing, executing and managing communications and promoting brand positioning for an organization, and measuring results.
- Experience in developing strategic messages, coordinating, editing and proofreading them, for targeted audiences.
- Experience in working with senior management and preferably with experience in developing thought leadership initiatives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience preferred in Adobe suite Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; WordPress, Canva, Wix would be an advantage.
- Basic photography and videography skills would be an advantage.
- Basic editing skills for photographs and videos would be an advantage.
- Prior work experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage.
