Lead - Social Media & Content - Education (3-4 yrs)

Position Summary :

The Lead, Social Media and Content will play an essential role in enhancing University (South Asia)'s digital presence. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling, a strong grasp of digital trends, and a commitment to building meaningful connections through engaging content. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media campaigns, managing communication channels, and creating content that resonates with our audience, ultimately driving brand awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities :

Social Media Strategy and Execution :

- Design and implement creative social media campaigns across platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Spotify, aimed at increasing engagement and expanding our digital footprint.

Brand Communication :

- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all digital platforms, aligning every piece of content with University's values and objectives

Paid Advertising :

- Manage and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns, from budget allocation to ad copywriting and audience targeting, ensuring maximum impact.

Online Reputation Management :

- Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and mentions across social media channels daily, fostering positive interactions and addressing any concerns promptly.

Content Marketing :

- Create and curate compelling content for digital channels, including social media posts, blogs, articles, videos, and infographics, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.

Drive Student Ambassador Program :

- Coordinate the Student Ambassador Program, including recruitment, training, and communication, to amplify our brand through authentic student voices.

Video Production Management :

- Collaborate with external agencies and designers to produce high-quality digital assets, including videos and static content, for campaigns and partnerships.

Influencer Campaigns :

- Identify and collaborate with relevant social media influencers to reach new audiences and enhance brand visibility.

Community Growth :

- Develop and implement strategies to grow our organic follower base, focusing on engaging with our ideal customer profile and maximizing audience interactions.

Website Management :

- Oversee relevant webpages, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines, while reflecting our brand identity.

Analytics and Reporting :

- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of digital marketing initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Competitor Analysis :

- Keep a close watch on competitor activities to identify best practices and discover new opportunities for differentiation.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and IT, to ensure seamless execution of digital campaigns and initiatives.


- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital efforts with campus-specific initiatives and events.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience (3 to 4 years) in digital marketing, ideally in a similar role.

- A knack for all things social, with a deep understanding of digital media trends and the ability to tailor content effectively for each platform.

- Expertise in social media management, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and paid advertising.

- Proficiency in analyzing social media and digital campaign data, building comprehensive reports, and making informed, data-driven optimizations.

- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software, and Canvas.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling and platform-appropriate content across digital channels.

- Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating data into actionable insights to improve digital marketing outcomes.

- Experience in website management, with a solid understanding of web technologies and CMS platforms. Knowledge of graphic design principles and tools is a plus

- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

- Knowledge of the education or academic sector is preferred but not mandatory.
