Job Description :
1. Strong Sales and Channel experience, and exposure to managing part or all of a commercial P&L
- Must have experience where they were directly or indirectly responsible for delivery of commercial goals in Digital Commerce as well as one of the following business functions
- B2B Sales, Key Account Management, Category Management/Merchandising, Retail Buying/Procurement, Shopper Marketing etc.
- Highly desirable is experience in working in one or more of the following categories (e.g., Food & Beverage, Household, Health & Beauty, General Merchandise, etc)
- Experience will likely come from working for a supplier, or retailer but could equally come from working in a frontline role in a commercial agency supporting suppliers/retailers or in client- facing role at a consulting organization.
2. Experience in contributing to commercial strategy development :
- Ideally the candidate should have strategy formation and implementation across two or more of the following areas
- Channel/Account Strategy, Net Revenue Management, Portfolio Pricing, Trade Promotion/Investment, Assortment/Category Management, Commercial Insights
- Must have experience in developing and presenting part or all of a commercial strategy to senior leaders in their own, or their client partner organizations.
- Experience working in a consulting environment is a bonus.
3. Strong understanding and appreciation for the use of data and technology to drive sales and marketing objectives - and be able to provide examples from their own career - including, if possible, examples beyond being a user, where they may have been part of designing/implementing/enabling new data and/or technology solutions for sales and marketing functions.
Additional Considerations :
- Candidate should be able to show they can draw a line from their experience and expertise to bring fresh perspective and potential solutions to client problems.
- Candidate must have strong customer and client service orientation, ability to quickly comprehend business problems and articulate solutions in terms of business value provided.
- Demonstrate direct experience and understanding of consumer products and retail strategy, industry trends, challenges and imperatives, business processes, best practices, and pain points.
