Sales Lead
- A sales leader plans, leads and supervises the sales efforts and programs of a company.
- A sales leader participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of all the sales plans of a company.
- A sales leader oversees all the sales managers and marketing personnel of the company and promotes sales excellence in the staff.
- The leader is responsible for developing sales strategy and company sales procedures, training and motivating sales staff and achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
- Other duties include nurturing relationships with top accounts.
- Leading the development of new products and services, participating in national sales conferences and high level sales negotiations, setting targets and sales goals and developing and managing the sales budget.
- The minimum qualification required for a sales leader job is a bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related fields.
- An MBA is desirable. Prior sales experience in a supervisory position is also important.
- A successful sales leader should exhibit strong leadership, computer, communication and interpersonal skills.
