- Define the editorial calendar and content roadmap to meet audience and engagement targets.
2. Team Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of content creators, editors, and writers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
3. Content Creation :
- Oversee the creation of engaging and high-quality content across various platforms.
- Ensure content meets brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
4. Storytelling and Brand Messaging :
- Develop and maintain a compelling brand narrative through effective storytelling.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all editorial content.
5. Quality Control :
- Implement and maintain editorial standards for grammar, style, and accuracy.
- Conduct regular content audits to ensure quality and relevance.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and other teams to align editorial efforts with overall business objectives.
- Coordinate with external contributors and agencies as needed.
7. Audience Engagement :
- Monitor audience behavior and engagement metrics.
- Implement strategies to increase reader retention and interaction.
Qualifications :
1. Education :
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
2. Experience :
- 8 to 15 years of experience in editorial roles with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial capacity.
