Lead - Business Development - IT (5-10 yrs)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the needs of employers (hiring for blue collar jobs) and their hiring processes and behavioral differences across regions/industries in India
- Working with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) to get certified as a partner and prepare a plan of action to leverage this certification for it's national roll out.
- Analyzing all government schemes we may be able to participate in (National and State level) and propose the plan of action prioritizing the schemes we should participate in the first phase of Launch
- Identifying/reaching out to key personnel's at various Skill Centres (ITI- s, Polytechnics, etc.) across India (both NSDC certified and non-certified).
- Understanding full gamete of needs for skill centres. What they need in order to use our software to help their students build bio-data and find jobs.
- Find partners that will help our workers up skill (within blue collar) and route more workers to us.
- This person will work closely with the GW executive team.
- Identify the various Trade Unions in India and prepare a BD strategy to partner with those trade unions.
- Identify key personnel's across targeted employers and maintain the leads in CRM for the sales team to follow up.
- Identify the relevant Trade shows, Seminars, Conferences to attend
- Present progress dashboard to business leaders and help them and the company to make better decisions.
- Help execute the go-to-market and geographic expansion strategy
- Provide field insights to the product team to address immediate employer requirements
- Provides feedback on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales per provider, and improve company brand and reputation.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in on the ground field sales in India
- Relevant start-up experience, comfort with ambiguity and a lack of formalized structures
- A strong team player who is comfortable in the field (surveying people, reaching out to potential customers on the ground)
- Possess a network of connections across government entities, skill centres, large industry employers (especially in the manufacturing and textile industries)
- A confident communicator who has experienced cold-calling potential leads and outbound lead generation.
- Extremely organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and Hindi.
- Additional Indian language fluency will be a plus
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Highly target-driven, willing to meet customer service and lead generation KPIs
