Role Overview :
As the Business Development Representative (BDR) Lead, you will spearhead a team of dynamic Business Development Representatives targeting the US, European, and UK markets. This role requires a blend of strategic foresight, hands-on leadership, and sales acumen to drive growth and exceed both individual and team targets.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Leadership :
- Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of BDRs, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Performance Goals : Establish and monitor team quotas, ensuring they are consistently met or surpassed.
- Development & Training : Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance reviews to enhance team capabilities.
- Team Culture : Cultivate a high-performance culture that encourages continuous improvement - and collaboration.
Individual Contribution :
- Sales Targets : Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets.
- Client Engagement : Identify and engage potential clients to create new business opportunities.
- Market Strategies : Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth in key markets including Europe and the US.
- Pipeline Management : Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast revenue projections.
Strategic Planning :
- Market Strategies : Formulate outbound strategies tailored to the US, European, and UK markets.
- Market Research : Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Account Penetration : Develop and implement an effective account penetration playbook.
- Outreach Campaigns : Design and execute outreach campaigns through cold calling, emailing, and other methods.
- Personalized Engagement : Create personalized outreach strategies to attract potential clients and drive sales.
Trend Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 5-6 years of relevant experience in B2B sales or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in the event technology industry is preferred.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Skills :
- Comprehensive understanding of the European, US, and UK markets.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, Salesloft, and Seamless for lead and campaign management.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
