As seen on Shark Tank India (Season 4, Episode 5), we are on a mission to build India's most-loved healthy food brand. To drive repeat purchases, loyalty, and LTV, we need a Consumer Retention Expert to create high-impact retention strategies and improve customer lifetime value.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
1- Customer Retention & Loyalty Strategy
- Develop & implement a retention roadmap to increase repeat purchase rates & LTV.
- Create & manage customer segmentation strategies (RFM analysis, cohort-based engagement).
- Build data-driven loyalty programs to maximize customer stickiness & brand affinity.
- Own & optimize WhatsApp, Email, and SMS engagement campaigns.
2 CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Execution
- Design & execute automated lifecycle campaigns (welcome flows, cart recovery, replenishment reminders).
- Use behavioral triggers to drive retention at key moments (first-time buyer - loyal customer).
- Build & optimize win-back campaigns to re-engage inactive customers.
- Work closely with performance marketing to enhance ROAS by increasing repeat buyers.
3-WhatsApp, Email, & SMS Marketing :
- Create high-impact WhatsApp, email, and SMS strategies to improve engagement & conversions.
- A/B test subject lines, messaging, CTAs, and incentives to optimize open & click-through rates.
- Leverage personalization & AI-driven recommendations to make messaging hyper-relevant.
4- Subscription & Membership Program :
- Develop a subscription model for repeat purchase categories (ghee, oils, dry fruits, snacks).
- Design a high-value membership program to encourage higher AOV & exclusive benefits.
- Work on bundling & prepaid offers to increase customer commitment.
5- Data Analysis & Retention Insights :
- Track key retention KPIs: Repeat Purchase Rate, LTV, Churn Rate, AOV, CAC Payback.
- Analyze customer behavior data (purchase patterns, frequency, feedback) for strategic improvements.
- Build dashboards to monitor and report retention performance across channels.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
- Repeat Purchase Rate: Increase by 30-50%+ over 6-12 months.
Customer Lifetime Value (LTV): Improve LTV through better engagement & upselling.
Churn Reduction: Decrease churn by implementing effective win-back strategies.
WhatsApp, Email, & SMS ROI: Improve CTR, conversion rates, and AOV.
Subscription & Membership Success: Drive growth in prepaid & repeat purchase models.
Who Should Apply?
- 4-8 years of experience in Consumer Retention, CRM, or Lifecycle Marketing for an FMCG, Grocery, or D2C brand.
- Strong knowledge of customer segmentation, loyalty programs & cohort-based retention strategies.
- Hands-on experience with BiteSpeed, Exotel, CleverTap, MoEngage
- Proven track record in WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and Subscription-based models.
Analytical mindset - ability to interpret data & optimize retention campaigns based on insights.
Preferred Experience:
- Worked in D2C FMCG brands (The Whole Truth, Open Secret, Farmley, Slurrp Farm, Yoga Bar, Epigamia, etc.).
- Experience with retail & omnichannel CRM strategies (not just digital).
- Strong understanding of repeat purchase psychology in grocery & health-focused categories.
