Key Account Manager - Sales (6-20 yrs)
Role Overview :
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building and managing strategic relationships with key clients, and expanding Mavensworld's service lines across training, advisory, and consulting domains. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a strong network of senior decision-makers in large enterprises. This role is critical to the growth and success of the organization and requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities :
1. New Business Development :
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities for Mavensworld across all service lines (visit https://www.mavensglobal.com/ to know more about our services).
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for expansion.
2. Account Management :
- Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and long term engagement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and aligning Mavensworld's solutions accordingly.
- Develop and execute client engagement strategies to drive retention, renewals, and cross-selling/up-selling of services.
3. Network Building & Relationship Management :
- Leverage existing networks and build new relationships with decision-makers, including C-suite executives, within large organizations.
- Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to promote Mavensworld's offerings and expand the company's market presence.
- Build long-term partnerships with clients by demonstrating deep understanding of their business challenges and offering tailored solutions.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with internal teams (Consulting, Training, Advisory) to ensure seamless delivery of services and exceptional client experiences.
- Provide client feedback to service delivery teams to ensure offerings are aligned with market needs and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support business development initiatives and lead-generation activities.
5. Strategic Planning & Reporting :
- Develop account strategies for each key client, focusing on long-term growth and value creation.
- Track, analyze, and report on business development activities and account performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Forecast sales revenue and provide accurate sales projections for key accounts.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Proven experience (6+ years) in Key Account Management or Business Development in the consulting, advisory, or professional services industry.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships with senior executives and decision-makers within large enterprises.
- A strong network of connections with C-level executives and key decision-makers across various industries.
- Strong understanding of management consulting, training, and advisory services, and the ability to communicate the value of these services effectively to potential clients.
- Ability to create and implement tailored solutions that align with client needs.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a consultative sales environment.
