Key Account Manager - Retail Business Development - Mall Leasing (8-10 yrs)

Position Purpose and Summary :

The Key Account Manager will lead premium mall leasing across India. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of retail leasing within luxury malls, strong industry networks, and expertise in legal, commercial, and financial aspects of leasing. This role will drive strategic leasing efforts, engaging directly with senior-level stakeholders and ensuring successful store launches. The position is based in Mumbai and requires frequent travel across India.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Mall Leasing & Relationship Management :

1. Lead leasing activities for premium malls across India, targeting top luxury brands.

2. Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders (mall owners, directors, mall brand management team) to secure optimal leasing outcomes.

3. Act as a primary leasing contact, facilitating negotiations and aligning with brand and mall standards.

Store Launch & Execution :

1. Oversee end-to-end store launches, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely openings.

2. Liaise with operations, design, and legal teams to meet all brand and mall requirements.

Legal & Commercial Acumen :

1. Draft, review, and negotiate lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all legal and financial requirements.

2. Resolve any lease-related issues efficiently, protecting company interests.

Market Insight & Strategy :

1. Conduct market research to identify key leasing opportunities and competitive trends.

2. Provide strategic insights to align leasing decisions with brand expansion goals.

Desired Candidate Skills and Acumen :

- Minimum of 8-10 years in retail mall leasing, specifically dealing with premium and luxury properties in India.

- Proven experience working with large, high-end mall properties and establishing relationships with senior stakeholders. Familiarity with real estate and retail expansion strategies for high-end brands.

- Strong network of contacts within the retail and mall leasing industry, specifically with luxury and premium malls.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders effectively.

- Proactive problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach.

Educational Qualification : Graduate/Postgraduate
