Key Account Manager - Modern Trade Vertical - Food & Beverages (5-10 yrs)

Our client is one of the strongest brands in the Bakery category, having a 25000 sq ft state-of-the-art centralized manufacturing facility with European equipment near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The founding team consists of a 'Master Baker' from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, one of the finest culinary institutes in the world and an IIM-A alumni with a McKinsey background.
Role Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic individual in Mumbai or Bangalore to expand the brand's reach and ensure smooth operations in modern trade stores. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in modern trade in FMCG F&B. Reporting will be to the Trade Head.
Key Responsibilities :
- Generate revenue from offline Modern Trade (MT) stores such as Nature's Basket, Reliance, Star Bazaar, Dorabjee's etc.
- Devise a strategy unique to national and regional level MT retails stores
- Develop a team under them responsible for different accounts and activities
- Develop relationships with the customers
- Finalize and execute JBP (Joint Business Plans) on an annual basis with each store
- Get timely POs and ensure quantities are in line with targets
- Ensure expiry and return is capped or within the company's targeted limit
- Ensure visibility of the brand and the product
- Design and run marketing campaigns in these stores and report its ROI with analytics
- Ensure timely payments
Requirements :
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Modern Trade (MT).
- Age must be < 40years, Language: Should know kannada
- Should have handled at least three national chains at a HO level.
- Should have managed a minimum 5 MT chains at regional level.
- Must have a clear and detailed understanding of sales operations in MT channel
- Proven track record to achieve sales objectives
- Should be able to appoint and manage distributors, wherever required.
- Should be good at relationship management with the customers.
- Should be a team player - know how to get the work done from within the team and external stakeholders
- Should demonstrate In-Store execution excellence at a store level through the local team.
- Pan India travel for 8-10 days a month
- Educational Qualification : Minimum graduate, MBA preferred (from Tier 1 & Tier 2 colleges)
