Key Account Manager - Business Development (2-10 yrs)
- As a Business Development and Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive business growth and foster strong relationships with key clients. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts, with a focus on client visits and maintaining a strong presence in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Business Development :
- Identify and prospect potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Develop and execute effective strategies to acquire new clients and secure new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and sales materials.
2. Key Account Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts.
- Conduct regular client visits to understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
- Develop account plans and strategies to maximize revenue and customer retention.
3. Relationship Management :
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to clients, understanding their goals and challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure client needs are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions to clients.
- Provide regular updates and reports on account activities, sales performance, and market trends.
4. Market Intelligence :
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities.
- Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and improve product/service offerings.
- Analyse data and generate insights to support business decisions and sales strategies.
5. Travel :
- Conduct regular client visits to their locations to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Travel to industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand professional network and generate leads.
