Position Overview : The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the company by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and developing strategic partnerships. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, sales expertise, market analysis, and exceptional communication skills. Should be a champion of both conventional marketing and internet marketing.
Key Responsibilities :
Market Research and Analysis :
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential markets, trends, and competitors.
- Analyze customer needs, preferences, and industry dynamics to inform business development strategies.
Lead Generation and Prospecting :
- Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including networking events, industry associations, online platforms, and referrals.
- Qualify leads and prioritize opportunities based on alignment with the company's objectives and capabilities.
Sales and Relationship Management :
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while establishing new client relationships.
- Understand client needs and tailor solutions to address their specific requirements.
Partnership Development :
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and collaborations that can enhance the company's market presence and offerings.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
Proposal and Pitch Creation :
- Prepare compelling and customized sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to showcase the company's value proposition to potential clients.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure proposals align with technical capabilities and operational feasibility.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years plus of Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Preferred Experience in Food Industry, Hospitality, Medical, Agriculture or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and business strategy.
- Excellent English language communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients and partners.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Results-driven attitude with a track record of achieving targets.
