Job Summary :


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Counselor to join our student services team in the education sector. The Academic Counselor will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to students, assisting them in achieving their academic and personal goals. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of educational pathways, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and parents.

Responsibilities :

1. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, weaknesses, interests, and goals.

2. Provide personalized guidance to students on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways.

3. Assist students in developing educational plans that align with their aspirations and future career opportunities.

4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student academic concerns and provide appropriate interventions.

5. Help students navigate academic challenges, study strategies, time management, and effective learning techniques.

6. Stay updated with educational programs, curriculum changes, and university admissions requirements to provide accurate information to students.

7. Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and presentations on study skills, time management, and other relevant topics.

8. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and academic progress.

9. Utilize technology tools and educational resources to enhance counseling services and student engagement.

10. Monitor and track student academic performance, attendance, and behavior, providing timely interventions as needed.

11. Collaborate with the career counseling team to guide students in exploring potential career paths and higher education options.

Qualifications :

- An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in any related field may be preferred

- 0-1 years of experience for entry-level positions

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities

- Ability work long hours during peak recruiting seasons

- Passion for education and a deep understanding of the admissions process

- A positive and enthusiastic personality with a knack for building rapport with students.
