Job Description - Digital Marketing Head - K12 Techno Services
K12 Techno Services is a fast-growing Education Management company started by Sequoia Capital and IIM Grads with presence in Bangalore and Mumbai. The Orchids International, a chain of 30+ schools with over 30000 students is managed by K12 Techno Services end-to-end including a centralised Curriculum, Hiring, Teacher training, resource management, ERP, transport, finances, marketing and so on.
- As Digital Marketing Head at K12 Techno Services, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy and roadmap for the online marketing activities for the Orchids International Group of Schools. You will work with the Marketing, Ops and Management, Schools to understand how to position Orchids as a brand, and execute innovative marketing strategies to increase conversion rates through a process driven approach.
- You will use strong technical, analytical and leadership skills to drive the growth of Orchids Schools.
OUTCOMES EXPECTED - First 12- 24 months
Sales Focus
- In 1 month - understand the ecosystem; business requirements and targets and develop a strategy to boost ROI on digital marketing for Orchids schools.
- In the first 2 months - Create new and innovative collaterals and assets;
- In the first 4 months - Develop and execute highly optimised campaigns to drive brand awareness and increase demand for our schools across India (specific hyper-local) through different channels (Social Media, online ads, etc.)
Product Marketing
- In the first 2 months - Understand the existing product (B2B, B2C) offerings and create product positioning to communicate the value proposition.
- In 3-6 months - Develop strategies and create processes to launch new products and grow visibility for existing ones - Landing Pages, Apps, Sites, etc
- In 3-6 months - Setup up processes to systematically create great content - Blogs, Videos, Stories around products, launch them and measure the impact.
- Within the first 6 months - Set up systems for monitoring and understanding the market for our products; Understand trends and insights.
Brand Building
- Within 6-8 months - Work closely with the leadership team to conceptualise and execute campaigns.
- Develop and implement strategies to position K12, Orchids, and other brands of K12 as thought leaders in education in India.
- Within 6 months - Identify and showcase the genuine reasons for K12 being the best places to work in India. In the process identify areas of improvement to reach the ideal standards.
Impact Focused Decisions
- Be analytically strong to set up processes to identify, measure and iterate to improve performance on north-star metrics
- Always define objective measurements for RoI for each of the activities and setup processes to periodically evaluate the performance
Building team and support structure
- As the need arises, Identify, evaluate and bring on-boarding best-in-class consultants, freelancers, full-timers, agencies for different functions within the expected outcomes.
- Proactively plan and create an environment within K12 that attracts top talents in this function - Events, Meetups, Talks, etc.
- Build competence to nurture a team of junior cadets joining our team.
Thought Leadership
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption, where appropriate. Develop innovative growth strategies.
- Choose and incorporate appropriate marketing automation systems to increase engagement and revenues.
- Offer inputs to the web management team for continuous site improvements to better metrics of digital platforms.
PREREQUISITES
- 4+ years of experience in developing and executing digital marketing plans from strategy, customer research, competitive analysis, messaging, pricing, etc
- Experience initiating and driving a range of GTM programs including social media, content marketing, online ads etc.
- Knowledge and experience of using web analytics tools/ad serving tools
- Up-to- date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication via phone, email and in-person meetings.
