Invention Labs / Avaz Inc is an app development company with focus on communication and language learning.

In 2010, they launched the Avaz ipad app, which helps kids with autism spectrum disorders (and other non-verbal kids) communicate. Our AAC app is one of the industry leaders worldwide with regular sales in US school districts and across the world. In India, it is government recommended for special schools.

Their CEO Ajit Narayanan won the National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in December 2010. He was also recognized as a global young leader by MIT Technology Review which rated Avaz as the Innovation of the Year 2011.

As the Marketing Communications Strategist, you will work closely with the marketing team to create marketing campaigns and monitor their execution. These campaigns are across multiple channels - ad networks, blogs, PR, in-app, etc. You will be reporting to the Head of Marketing, Amrutash Misra, who is also an entrepreneur on his own right - he's behind the brands Book Lovers- Program for Schools (blps.in), The ilovereadin- Library (iloveread.in) and MsMoochie (msmoochie.in). Although an IIT Madras alumnus, he's a marketer at heart as he started his career in Hindustan Unilever (HUL).

Key responsibilities :

- Ideate on new campaigns, on each channel

- Write content

- Design creatives

- Collect information from the market and study the competition.

- Coordinate the execution of these campaigns.

Must haves :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Candidate must be well read.

- Above all, candidate must be enthusiastic and must show initiative.

Preferred :

- Graduates of these courses will be preferred - English Language / English Literature / Creative writing / Visual communication / Mass communication / Marketing / similar.

- Candidate with knowledge of photoshop or equivalent and an eye for visual design will be preferred.
