International/Export Sales Role - Packaging Firm (10-15 yrs)
Key Job Responsibilities:
Sales Plan & Customer Services:
- The Business Development Manager (Export) is responsible for generating and enhancing the sales of the products in other countries.
- Developing sales plans and strategies to meet business needs of existing customers and prospective customers.
- To ensure that the products are made available in the international markets by analyzing the trends of the customers.
- The basic and the most important step is to identify new business opportunities by tapping the potential customers from different countries
- To plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customer's needs and requirements
- To make sure that the existing clients are retained and maintained while developing the new customers
- To ensure that the all the sales and marketing activities are carried out within the agreed budgets, volume, sales, and within the given time scales
- To take initiative and efforts to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the export procedures and activities
- To constantly review agents performance and monitor their work, so that relevant information can be provided to the management
- To carry out market research, conduct surveys and study the competitors and their marketing and sales strategies.
- To actively participate in the training sessions to improvise their knowledge and skills by attending the trade shows and exhibitions.
- To make suggestions to the management to improve the product based on the feedback received from the customers.
Export customer relationship management:
- To handling all queries related to shipment from customers.
- Payments follow-up with customers and its reconciliation with accounts.
MIS & Others:
- To follow-up with productions and other support functions for customers delivery.
- To provide information and reports to the Management as per requirement.
Export documentation and licensing:
- To ensure all export related documents are adequately prepared and maintain proper records.
- To ensure all pre & post shipments documents are being handled well and accurately- Invoice, Packing List, CHA, consignee details etc.
Shipment of goods:
- To make coordination with Export and logistic team for shipments at the consignee address/Location.
- To ensure all samples and products are shipped to client on time, keep tracking and updating of shipment being handed over for delivery to customers.
- To ensure all shipping related bills are reconciled before payments, also ensures that the logistics costs are to be kept minimum at competitive rates.
