Intabac - Executive - Retail Sales (2-4 yrs)
Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Executive at a cigar store is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The executive will have a strong understanding of cigar products, accessories, and industry trends, while actively contributing to achieving sales targets and maintaining store standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, ensuring a friendly and professional environment.
- Assist customers in selecting cigars, accessories, and other related products by offering product knowledge and personalized recommendations.
- Answer customer inquiries about products, tobacco types, cigar sizes, storage tips, and other related questions.
Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Understand the features and benefits of various cigar brands, accessories, and humidors to make informed recommendations to customers.
- Stay up to date with new products, promotions, and industry trends to offer the best service.
- Upsell products by introducing customers to complementary accessories (cutters, lighters, ashtrays, etc.).
- Achieve individual and store sales targets by actively engaging with customers and driving sales.
- Store Maintenance and Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Maintain proper display and arrangement of products to create an inviting and attractive shopping environment.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the store manager for replenishment.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including performing stock checks and restocking shelves when necessary.
- Keep track of high-demand products and notify the manager of any inventory needs or customer requests.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking shipments and ensuring products are stored correctly, particularly cigars in humidors.
Handling Transactions:
- Operate the cash register and process customer payments efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that all sales are processed according to store policies and procedures.
Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in a professional manner.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with regular customers by providing personalized service and follow-ups.
- Maintain a customer database to inform them about new arrivals, promotions, and store events.
Compliance and Health Standards:
- Follow all store policies related to the sale of tobacco products and ensure compliance with local regulations regarding age restrictions and tobacco sales.
- Ensure proper care and storage of cigars, maintaining the correct humidity levels in store humidors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in luxury goods or tobacco products, is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and strong attention to detail.
- Sales-Driven: Ability to work towards achieving sales goals and handling customer objections.
