Position Overview:
Representing the assigned Vendor/Vendors, the Product Manager will be responsible for the overall revenue and gross margin from the specified product; he/she may also be responsible for supervising and coaching a team of associates. Assignments will vary widely and depend upon the vendor management experience of the associate.
Key Job Functions:
Business Executive for Cisco Cloud Portfolio:
Vendor Management:
- Manage existing on-boarded vendors
- Get relevant technical certification from the vendor.
- Keep updated on the latest changes in the product offering
- Weekly / bi weekly review calls on issues/ opportunities with vendor
- Seek active support (technical, pricing or presales) from vendor
- Plan MDF activities and spend with vendor.
- Manage qtrly QBR wt vendor and other stake holders
- Target to on-board more vendors on the portfolio
Sales Management:
o New Business
- Create active working funnel for future sign-ups
- Involve account managers for identifying opportunities for business sign up.
- Create / use pitch solution to VAR- s
- Launch and drive SPIFF for internal sales teams.
- Run digital marketing activities for lead generation and funnel creation
o Existing business
- Revenue and Margin forecasting.
- Timely execution of orders.
- Timely funnel and order reporting
- Timely Invoicing the services and revenue recognition (effectively use account manager/ back end billing support team.
- Plan and manage QBR wt existing signed up customers and drive them towards higher slabs/ cross sale.
Key Skills/Abilities:
- Good interpersonal skills in-order to manage vendor / channel partner relationships.
- Results orientated, motivated by success, and achievement and ability to multi-task.
- Strong presenter with effective negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be an enthusiastic team player with an innovative approach.
- Accountable for the work you produce.
- Able to work under pressure and be prepared to work in a fast moving and aggressive environment where key objectives need to be met on pre-agreed timescales.
- Exhibit high level of proficiency with MS Office software.
Qualification:
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing or IT would be ideal.
- Bachelor's degree in in Engineering is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in channel sales.
- Demonstrable experience within an IT Channel Sales role and in creating and delivering close relationships with Vendors and Partners.
