ImpactGuru - Senior Manager - Student Fundraising (5-10 yrs)
Position Summary:
The Student Fundraising Senior Manager will support ImpactGuru Foundation (IGF) to mobilize financial and non-monetary resources. He or she will be responsible for developing a national student fundraising programme with a focus on covering a maximum number of schools and colleges. The Manager constantly focuses on strengthening relationships within these partners as well as cultivating new champions among these stakeholders. This role works closely with the internal functions of IGF such as Program team, Finance team and Impact team to develop win-win opportunities to maximize our impact within and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for developing a national student fundraising programme with a focus on covering a maximum number of privileged schools and colleges
- Create a defined fundraising plan & strategy in discussion with the senior management team for fundraising from schools and colleges
- Training & directly managing a group of voluntary students from across schools/colleges
- Travelling between schools/colleges to promote, meet with key partners and conduct fundraising workshops for participants
- Planning, managing and delivering successful recruitment of participants through attending information meetings, direct marketing, social media and physical recruitment
- Manage a team to market this programme across key Indian cities and achieve the team target
- Communicating and developing a wide range of fundraising ideas to help students to reach their fundraising target
- Develop proposals and different activities as per the school/college profile.
- Organize project visits for the students.
- Approach school directors and educational boards and religious bodies and submit proposals to them to get their permission to conduct these sensitization programmes in schools that fall under their jurisdiction.
- Organize awareness programmes and workshops for the school/college students.
- Travel with the team members in the field as and when required to help them perform better.
- Work with the Marketing team to develop successful fundraising events.
- Ensure achievements of the laid work plans and yearly targets are both qualitative and quantitative
- Ensure timely reporting, provide the management with daily, monthly and yearly plan.
- Research, analyze and evaluate the competitive market environment.
- Manage and supervise internal departmental communication.
- Regularly monitor the progress of the teams; provide all necessary support and guidance to teams.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competencies :
- 5 to 6 years minimum experience in raising significant funds from schools/colleges or similar background
- Strong project management skills including assessing progress to goals and making the necessary course corrections or reinforcements
- Experience of building and delivering joint working plans.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and data orientation including the skill and interest to work with sizeable quantities of data and pull out trends effectively and quickly
- Strong in the people quadrant with the ability to work with various people and build relationships.
- Have the ability to engage partners, both internal and external, on any level
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Energetic and highly driven with a sales focus.
