Ikon - Product Manager - Pharmaceutical Vertical (5-10 yrs)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals. Develop and implement the marketing strategies corresponding to the successful launch of products and brand building.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- B Pharm/M Pharm and MBA with min. 5 years of experience in product management in any reputed pharmaceutical company
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical science and therapy areas - General and Speciality
- Strong understanding of pharma business and market dynamics and requirements
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relation skills
- Fluent in the English language for creative copywriting and proofreading. The French language will be an added advantage
- Good working knowledge of MS office and internet
- Past experience of handling African Markets while sitting in India will be an added advantage
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing the marketing strategies, including brand plan, promotion plan with the budget to achieve overall top-line and bottom-line targets
- Identifying new products through market research and its launch planning
- Managing Key Accounts / dealing with Key Opinion Leaders
- Planning, sourcing and coordinating with vendors to get the final promotional inputs /marketing collaterals done in a timely manner and within the approved budget
- Monitoring and controlling promotional activities and distribution of promotional inputs among prescribers and pharmacies for getting maximum ROI
- Preparing and implementing an action plan to improve sales of weak performing brands and geographies
- Working in close coordination with the designer to develop packaging artworks and marketing collaterals
- Conducting market research to understand market needs, competition and thereby identify the market opportunity
- Conducting promotional meets for sales managers and delegates on product knowledge, sales promotional strategies, competition, etc.,
- Building and maintaining relationship with MOH and various government bodies, apart from followup for renewals and new registration/approvals
- Coordinating and follow up with the purchase and warehouse in charge/supervisor, depot manager to ensure that adequate stock of products is maintained in order to meet the sales delivery schedules
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
