Ikon - Country Manager - Sales - Pharmaceutical Vertical (8-10 yrs)

Job Title: Country Manager
Reporting To: MD
Job Summary:
Responsible for the successful implementation of marketing and sales strategy to achieve the company's overall sales goal. Lead the sales team towards the achievement of maximum growth and profitability in line with the company's vision and values. Execute action plans to develop the customer base and contribute in developing training and programs for the sales team.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master in Pharmacy and MBA with 8-10 years of sales experience in Pharma [Rx/OTC] and at least 1-2 years of experience as a country manager/headinany Pharmaceutical company preferably in the African country.
- Strong understanding of pharma business and market dynamics and requirements
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management
- Willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relation skills
- Fluent in English and Hindi language. The French language will be an added advantage.
- Good business sense and professional manner
- Good working knowledge of MS office and internet
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing strategy, including the detailed plans for promotional/ advertising and sales activities in the allocated region in Africa.
- Develop and implement sales strategy and promotion plan for the market that ensures attainment of company's overall sales target and profitability
- Conduct sales analysis (Product wise and brand wise) periodically and submit it to senior management as per the timelines.
- Prepare and implement an action plan to improve sales of weak performing brands and geographies
- Set a monthly, quarterly and annual sales target and develop a market coverage plan of own & team
- Lead and educate the sales team consists of regional managers, depot managers, supervisors and MRs with product knowledge, sales process and promotional activities
- Ensure an effective distribution of promotional gifts/inputs among prescribers and pharmacies for getting maximum ROI
- Build and maintain a healthy relationship with the sales team, distributors and hospitals for the achievement of overall business goals
- Build and maintain the relationship with MOH and various government bodies, apart from follow-up for renewals and new registration/approvals
- Track market trends and competitor activities and provide meaningful insights to top management
- Conduct one-on-one review with all sales team to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Sales team's sales and activity performance
- Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage, brand presence, competitor activity and continuously search new business opportunities in order to increase sales
- Develop and manage a strong distribution channel across the country with the help of the sales team
- Recruits Sales team based on criteria agreed upon by senior management
- Coordinate and follow up with the purchase and warehouse in charge/supervisor, depot manager to ensure that adequate stock of products is maintained in order to meet the sales delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of all sales, and activity reports submitted by the sales team
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Salary Package: As per the experienceFixed + Incentives based on performance
Working Days: Monday to Friday (Full Day), Saturday (Half Day)
Working Hours: 8 am to 5 pm (DRC Time)
Contract Period: 2 years
Notice Period: 3 Months
