Role Snapshot :
- Seeking an India communications professional with 15+ years of experience to lead the internal and external communications mandate for HMD Global in India.
- Develop and execute India communication strategy for HMD. Help write the next chapter of Nokia phones through creative PR campaigns, actively engage with the influencer community to build strong influence for HMD and internal communications.
- This individual will be required to lead / be a part of a cross functional team delivering campaigns to support the business mandate for HMD in India. Our ideal candidate will be self-starter, optimistic and energetic.

Key responsibilities :
India comms strategy creation :
- In collaboration with stakeholders develop the annual narrative and communications strategy for HMD in India
- Ensure its implementation, measurement and evaluation to ensure clear progress in line with business objectives
- Work to understand clear gaps of opportunity for HMD to own
Creative Communications Campaign :
- Integrated PR, placement and campaign development
- Lead in setting the campaign agenda
- Work to develop compelling PR campaigns and initiatives that can disrupt the category
Deep relations with influencers :
- Develop deep relations with important stakeholders and influencers like media, bloggers, analysts and influencers
Internal communications :
- Define and set a regular internal communications cadence
- Work with India VP and HR Head on continuous employee engagement initiatives
Fan Engagement :
- Curate and lead a campaign for engaging fans with the brand
- Co-develop a regular rhythm of engagement with this community
Functional Cadence :
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to develop Communications materials such as briefing books, presentations, press releases
- Manage the day to day tactics of communications in India -- from proactive pitches highlighting our product story, partnerships or marketing campaigns as well as handling issues as they arise
Skills & Experience :
Necessary Desirable :
- Master Degree in Mass communication or PR
- Mix of consumer and corporate PR experience
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Comfortable working in the matrix organization
- Innovative & Result oriented
- Inspires confidence
- Can do/ will do attitude. Go getter.
Technology background :
- Social integration/ social media experience
- Well connected in the network
