HT City is looking for a meticulous and experienced Copy Editor to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lifestyle writing and a keen eye for detail. As a Copy Editor, you will ensure that all content meets our high editorial standards and engages our readers effectively.
Job Role: Copy Editor
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread lifestyle articles, features, and other content for grammar, punctuation, style, and accuracy.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to the publication's editorial guidelines and style guide.
- Work closely with writers, journalists, and other editors to refine content and enhance readability.
- Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of lifestyle trends and developments.
- Meet tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience as a lifestyle writer in a media house or publication company.
- Excellent command of the English language, with strong grammar and editorial skills.
- Proven ability to edit and improve written content while maintaining the author's voice and intent.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools and content management systems is a plus.
