We are looking for rock star sales and BD professional who have an entrepreneurial zest to drive business through domestic and export sales. Candidate's main responsibility would be to tap potential bulk customers from different regions through all the channels. This position will have the responsibility for creating new and managing existing customers - general trade, modern trade, chain stores, buying houses, distributors, brands, importers, exporters, retailers and corporate gifting. He will open new customer accounts and grow existing customer sales though traditional offline bulk channels as well online bulk portals. Responsibilities and Duties :
Sales and Business Development :
- Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers
- Identify, prospect and generate new business opportunities by tapping potential customers across different regions and countries; responsible for achieving Sales targets
- Initiate, develop & nurture key National and International accounts which may include - Brands, Distributors, Retailers, Exporters / Importers, Buying Houses, Designer Boutiques etc. (both foreign & Indian)
- Generate leads, respond to queries, and acquire customers on bulk marketplaces like Alibaba, Udaan, Go4World, Indiamart and other B2B global / Indian marketplaces.
- Preparation of Sale/Purchase Contract, Quotation, FOB & CNF pricing for overseas buyers
- Responsible for complete sales cycle from enquiry generation to order booking; handling customer's enquiries, prepare RFQ's & closing deals.
- Nurturing, building & maintaining relationship with customers
- Interfacing with manufacturing partners for sample creation, product procurement, Cost negotiation, quotation comparisons and analysis.
- Reporting of Sales Activities & sales funnel on regular basis; achieve sales goals on Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly Basis
- Identify and appoint new Distributors/Dealers/Retailers/sales agents in geographies for developing regional business
- Make presentations, attend techno-commercial discussions & negotiations
- Perform competitor and trend analysis region wise to improve sales effectiveness
Sales operations :
- Pre & Post Import / Export Documentation - Bill of Exchanges, Invoice, Packing List, certificate of origin, Form 9, Form 6, No War Certificate, Analysis Certificate, Freight Certificate, PSIC, BRC and Buyer approval; submission of documents to bank, regulatory bodies etc.
- Coordinate export shipments from origin until final destination & execute complete export cycle; Coordination with Overseas Buyers, CHA, freight forwarders & Shipping Agents regarding shipments
- Follow up on Loading and Shipment schedules to ensure timely loading; Monitor shipment to ensure regulatory compliances from Government and regulatory bodies like DGFT
- Coordinate with Internal Departments for the sampling, production & shipment of goods as per customer's requirement
- Preparation of LC documents and presentation to bank
- Consultation of the clients regarding insurances, duties and taxes; Search for possibilities to reduce taxes
Customer Satisfaction :
- Update customer feedback to in-house Customer Service & Quality team
- Provide prompt reply to queries/ questions of clients & clear all their doubts regarding company products by explaining & convincing them about product quality and differentiation
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications :
- Graduate, preferably with an MBA with 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Leather, Fashion or Apparel sector
- Good industry relationships with potential buyers and agencies in leather fashion industry in India and abroad markets - US, Europe, Middle East, South East Asia etc.
- Good Knowledge of Exports documentation, compliance, budget management, international trade, shipment processes and taxations; exposure to bulk marketplaces like Alibaba highly preferred
- Exceptional English written & oral communication skills along with presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills
