Head/VP - Sales - Plastic Manufacturing (18-20 yrs)
Job Description:
Designation: Sales Head/VP Sales.
Reports to: CEO.
Exp : 18-20 years.
Industry: Plastic/ Packaging.
Salary: As per company norms.
Work Location: Mumbai - Corporate office.
Major Accountability:
Sales:
- Increase sales growth and drive sales initiatives in order to achieve overall monthly/ yearly sales targets nationally and contribution targets for the assigned Business.
- Establish corporate strategies and budgets for achievement of top line and bottom line targets from Large accounts
- Explore sales opportunities through excellent product knowledge, demonstrating creativity and flair on the sales floor, motivating the team and creating a sales environment.
- Prepare, execute sales & distribution plan (Primary & Secondary) with regions to meet monthly objectives
- Participating in the evolution of annual and medium term marketing plans particularly with respect to key customer, new products, existing products.
Business Development :
- Conduct competitor analysis and competency mapping for keeping abreast of market trends and competitor moves to achieve market share metrics.
- Identify and develop new streams for revenue growth and maintaining relationships with customers to achieve repeat/ referral business
Team Management and Leadership :
- Develop an effective team by providing leadership, motivation and support to the team and retain appropriate team members.
- Mentor and coach the sales organization continuously by leading from the front (Team Player)
- Build a highly capable & competent sales organization with a cohesive, creative, and comfortable working environment within the team.
- Develop, evolve and execute an effective review and reporting system with respect to KRAs for the sales organization in alignment with the overall business objectives
- Ensuring managers are leading by example in all activities and building a performance oriented value driven culture
- Fixing weekly sales and activity targets and review them regularly to track shortfalls and accordingly take corrective action, Constant monitoring to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goal.
- Energetic instigator of change, leading by personal example.
Product Management :
- Conduct various surveys prior to the launch of the product regarding factors like pricing, billing, etc and generate comparative statements.
- Monitor closely the Ad / PR Agencies for formulating promotional material brochures and leaflets, handling Outdoor / Indoor publicity.
- Suggest Management for the revision of price of the products from time to time.
Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in managing large B2B Sales teams - preferably from Pharma, Pesticide, Packaging, Plastics, Paint or FMCG targeting sales with large corporates.
- Must have worked across West, North & South regions; current national sales head of other company.
Preferred:
- Must have managed Corporate Sales at a National level.
- Excellent communication skills and hands on experience in generating own MIS/ Presentations etc.
