- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years of related selling and account management experience. Strong preference for capital equipment selling experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams of people.
Job Details :
- Seeking a motivated and strategically minded Head of Sales, who will be responsible
- for the generation of revenue for products and services. The candidate will be responsible for managing and developing both a direct sales team and agent/distributor sales channels and assist in developing and executing the strategic go-to-market strategies. Previously demonstrated experience in selling capital equipment and managing people is required.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage and develop the direct selling team.
- Directly manage agents/distributors.
- Create and execute strategies that will increase bookings from target market.
- Responsible for sales forecast accuracy, pipeline, bookings, and all marketing activities.
- Thoroughly understanding the problem to solve for the customer and determine how company can provide the best solution for their problems/requirements.
- Learn the decision-making process for each prospect and work to have depth of contact with all buying influences.
- Be an orchestrator on behalf of the direct team or key agent, helping them tap into client's requirements in such a way that we earn their trust and win the business.
- Responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with the executive team of all of our agents and key customers.
- Develops and documents all necessary aspects of complex selling factors related to the prospective customer's needs, including the identification of and ability to overcome any customer concerns and objections which need to be overcome to obtain necessary order(s)
- Generates go to market plans for new products/services that generate additional revenue Opportunities
- Manages, coaches, trains and develops a series of agents and/or distributors when appropriate. Must handle forecast accuracy and agent/dealer issues if more than one working in an assigned geographical area.
- Develops and implements account selling strategies and tactics to coordinate necessary corporate resources resulting in addressing and overcoming customer concerns or objections
- Maintains proficiency in both technical and business aspects of purchase negotiations including process specifications, equipment configurations terms and conditions
- Develops, maintains, and regularly submits current sales information, including forecasts, CRM use, account profiles, sample requests, and trip reports
- Ensures cost-effective time and territory management within company policies to maximize direct contact with existing and prospective customers
- Ability to work with other department leaders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Will supervise a direct selling team based at Company's corporate office.
Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to communicate effectively interdepartmentally and externally with customers, and other contacts such as vendors Ability to develop and track sales cycle activities (forecasting)
- Complex technical capital equipment knowledge of industrial heaters manufacturing knowledge preferred
- Ability to compile technical reports and present technical material to internal and external groups
- Ability to travel extensively to support Sales activities for new or prospective business Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to negotiate technical aspects of purchase (including process specifications, equipment configurations, and commercial terms and conditions)
