Head - Sales & Marketing - Sponsorship (5-10 yrs)
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Sales & Marketing Head (Sponsorship) is a role that is pivotal to the ongoing success of the Organization.Responsible for the prospecting, negotiating, and the day-today managing of the portfolio of sponsorship's, this person will play a dynamic part in the future of the organization.

REPORTS TO: CEO / CFO
COMMUNICATION:
In respect to internal and external relations the Business Development Manager shall:
- Liaise at a senior level with Sponsors, Government Departments, community and arts organizations, suppliers and other stakeholders in the acquisition and servicing of sponsorship's
- Be a public face of the organization, confidently communicating the benefits and vision of the organization to small and large groups;
- Successfully and confidently negotiate with high level decision-makers to secure sponsorship agreements
- Write and contribute to industry publications including blogs and award nominations
- Be a team player and work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to deliver key objectives for the organization and its Sponsors
ROLES & DUTIES:
The Sales & Marketing Head (Sponsorship) will be responsible for:
- Securing income in line with annual budgets set by the CEO and CFO:
- Represent the organization at industry networking events on a regular basis;
- Research and strategically approach prospective Sponsors;
- Increase the financial returns to the Organization from existing Sponsors;
- Develop and negotiate sponsorship proposals and contracts;
- Negotiate and secure Sponsorships; and Ensure timely distribution and payment of invoices by Sponsors
- Regularly communicating with all Sponsors to develop and deliver mutuallybeneficial working relationships
- Maintaining current knowledge and implementation of sponsorship industry bestpractice and working with the Development team to communicate this knowledgeacross the business and its Sponsors
- Working closely with suppliers and colleagues to fulfil contractual obligations ontime and within budgets set by CFO
- Maintaining up to date Communications records
- Preparing, editing and distributing partnership reports and the annual In-Reviewdocument
- Ensuring the up to date management of the partnerships pages on the organizations website
- Other tasks as reasonably requested
SELECTION CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL
1. Demonstrated ability and recent success procuring new Sponsors and clients for an organization;
2. Highest level of written and verbal communications skills and professionalpresentation; and
3. Tertiary qualifications in a Business degree or similar and at least 5 years- experience in a similar sponsorship role.
4. Work experience within an entertainment / Television company
DESIRABLE :
1. Current contacts list of corporate decision makers and Marketing Directors of private sector companies;
2. Demonstrated use of a database system, or the capacity to quickly obtain theseskills; and
3. Experience in an event environment
4. AD sales experience
