Head - Sales - General Trade (15-25 yrs)

The General Trade Sales Head will oversee the general trade (GT) sales operations for the mobile business across designated regions or territories. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in general trade sales, and deep knowledge of the mobile or consumer electronics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the market share in the general trade segment.

- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.

Channel Development and Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

- Optimize the distribution network to ensure product availability and efficient supply chain management.

- Drive retailer engagement initiatives to strengthen partnerships and improve brand presence.

Team Leadership and Performance Management:

- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.

- Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Revenue Growth and Profitability:

- Ensure achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share goals.

- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the general trade network.

Operational Excellence:

- Monitor and optimize sales operations, including order management, stock replenishment, and logistics.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

Market Insights and Reporting:

- Conduct regular market analysis and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.

- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: MBA in Marketing & Sales

Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
