Head - Sales - Automotive Lubricants (23-30 yrs)

The Head Automotive is responsible for leading the Automotive Sales team across India and delivering the Sales targets. The responsibilities include, managing the Distributor/ Channel network and other route to markets to meet the business growth aspirations. One of the key success factors would be in building a strong and motivated team. The incumbent will be based in Mumbai and report to the CEO of GPPL.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Competencies Skills, Knowledge & Attitude)
1. Mastery in Selling skills with exposure to Automotive lubricants and having successful track record.
2. Experience in developing channel network through new distributors and dealers pan India.
3. Creating Sales plan and managing regional/ national sales teams.
4. Exposure to Strategy and Marketing initiatives for Automotive lubricants business.
5. Awareness of market trend which can help to provide inputs for short term and long term business strategies including product and brand positioning.
6. Knowledge of the Indian lube industry and awareness of trends in Personal Mobility (bikes, cars) and Commercial vehicles.
7. Ability to connect with OEMs and also provide leads
8. Good communication and presentation skills.
9. Supports new business initiatives and contributes new ideas to build long term strategies.
10. Education qualification: Graduate with Marketing preferred
11. Excellent Leadership skills and ability to manage diverse Team.
12. Has good Training and Coaching skills .
MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION-
- To lead the Automotive team across India and to achieve the set objectives for the business.
- Plan yearly, monthly budgets and device strategies to achieve the set targets.
- Expand and manage the Channel network of Distributors/ Dealers.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities, to make interventions in the sales strategies for short term and long term goals.
- Build team spirit and a winning culture through recognition, relationship building and networking with all functions.
- Build safety awareness among team, walk the talk by adhering to safety policy of the company and encourage team members to build a safety culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead the Automotive Sales team and achieve the set objectives for the business.
2. Set Goals, Targets and Measuring parameters so that the team is well informed and also put in place a good tracking mechanism.
3. Expand Distributor network by appointing new distributors and reviewing the performance of existing distributors.
4. Create innovative Sales schemes in the market for Dealers, Distributors and modify
based on market requirements or sales strategies from time to time.
5. Consolidate and continue growth of IPOL brand
6. Aggressively promote and exponentially grow REPSOL brand.
7. Training and Coaching of Sales team through periodic engagement and accompanied market visits.
8. Periodic review of Distributor contracts and keep a track of Distributor performance.
9. Oversees all deliverables of the extended internal team to ensure over all companys expectations are being met to demonstrate a One team approach.
10. Review staffing, competency matrix, identify gaps and propose development needs.
11. Facilitate sharing of knowledge and transfer of best practices within the organization.
12. Demonstrate safety leadership and commitment to ethical working.
