Head - Marketing - IT (8-10 yrs)
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design and deploy the marketing strategy and plans by leveraging consumer insights, market analytics, and innovation in order to increase the consumer base, grow the market share and penetration, create brand identity, and spearhead strategic partnerships and alliances leading to higher engagement, which in turn results in sales and profitability.
- Examine competition performance and new activities, analyze historic trends in brand performance, and interpret changing consumer/user behavior across all the markets.
- Design the short-term and long-term marketing roadmap detailing the priority areas, resource requirements, etc., while ensuring complete alignment with the digital roadmap and organizational strategy.
- Conduct annual/semi-annual/quarterly reviews of the plan and make appropriate changes to it in order to make it more relevant to the fast-changing digital industry.
- Review and approve the marketing performance plan for the year and ensure its alignment with the marketing strategy.
- Manage brand and social media
- Manage all sub-teams within marketing viz. SEO/SEM/Design/Marketing Managers/Content/Social Media
- Work closely with regional offices to identify market needs, devise solutions, and deliver on projects.
- Manage marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees.
- Manage marketing staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Track team performance at an overall and individual level and provide support/guidance wherever required to ensure achievement of yearly plan
- Manage effective resource allocation, enhance the capability quotient of team members, and drive higher team engagement through appropriate HR interventions
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Marketing Head for a minimum of 3+ years
- Ability to see the big picture, visualize the future, and develop relevant functional strategies that add value to our business.
- Ability to prioritize and cope with competing demands.
- A sense of urgency and excellent execution and project management skills.
- Passion for results and excellence
- Ability to handle an entire marketing team including managers and senior managers, with a team size greater than 40+
- Strong acumen for numbers and experience working on developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit- loss projections.
- Experience in analyzing statistics regarding market development, acquiring and analyzing data, as well as consulting with internal and external sources.
- Experience in coordinating and working with on-shore and off-shore teams. Working with South-East Asian countries will be an added advantage.
- Up-to-date with current and online marketing techniques and best practices
- Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) and Google Adwords
- Customer-oriented approach to ensure that customer satisfaction is at the core of each of its business decisions
- Should be a balanced individual capable of developing creative solutions while anticipating and mitigating risks
- Should have business acumen and be a strategic thinker
- Should be a tenacious, solutions-oriented, results-driven individual
- Should be comfortable working with complex challenges and understand the value of rapid test and learn approaches
- Must be a self-motivated go-getter who takes ownership in delivering challenging tasks in a fast-paced growth environment.

Qualifications & Work Environment :
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, business, or a related field.
- Master's degree in business administration from a Tier 1 or 2 management college.
- 8- 10 years of experience in sales management, marketing, and business development.
Work Environment :
- Works normal business hours, Monday through Friday. May work into the evenings, on weekends, and may even take work home when facing deadlines or formulating new marketing strategies to launch in a specific timeframe.
- Spends time in meetings with leaders, managers, and supervisors of departments that fall under the marketing umbrella.
- Works in a climate-controlled private office space and spends a great deal of time looking at a computer screen reviewing reports, research, and other data.
