As Head of Marketing & Growth, you will oversee all demand generation and marketing operations across the organization. You will be responsible for identifying what makes our brand unique and communicating it to the world. You will be responsible for multi-channel marketing efforts that strengthen our brand, grow revenue through qualified leads, and align both internal and external stakeholders with strategic business goals.
The Job
Your Responsibilities will include :
- Develop marketing strategies to support the company's overall goals.
- Drive transformational growth by delivering revenue-focused marketing programs that cover all stages of the customer lifecycle, including acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in the company's lead/demand generation efforts through enterprise marketing and engagement channels by building strong foundations within marketing in partnership with the sales teams.
- Serve as a revenue leader to steer the organization's demand generation initiatives with clear, trackable results.
- Adopt an integrated marketing approach leveraging all demand generation channels- SEM, SEO, email, events, content syndication, lifecycle marketing, Account & Community-based marketing, etc.
- Monitor and report campaign performance with granular tracking across relevant KPIs, including but not limited to signups, engagement, collateral downloads, and lead acquisition and conversion.
- Test growth ideas and analyze data from campaigns to find the best tactics for optimizing spend, and overall campaign execution, and make progressive recommendations for continued success.
- Deliver exceptional thought leadership initiatives that help the brand maintain a strong share of mind and high authority index across key markets in Africa.
- Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all company events. Must also be diligent enough to advise the business on spend and the relevance of partnership projects.
- Prepare regular marketing metrics and reports/presents them to the CEO/COO.
- Be at the forefront of ensuring the marketing organization maintains strong relationships and influence with critical internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and the media.
- Identify the marketing organization's people needs and always drive initiatives that ensure growth and well-being of team members.
- Maintain recent insights into both local and global consumer, industry, and competitor trends/moves. Includes the larger SaaS and general tech ecosystem.
Ideal Candidate :
Skills Required :
- Strategic thinker with operator and project management capabilities.
- First degree qualification in marketing or business. Outstanding, relevant professional experience and qualification(s) from recognized institutions are preferred.
- 9+ years' integrated experience with a strong background showing identifiable results, in brand management, demand generation, growth marketing, creative strategy, multi-stakeholder management, corporate communications, PR, and business marketing.
- Exposure to B2B tech or services will prove to be a considerable advantage.
- 6+ years of demonstrable leadership experience, preferably in a closely- or exactly-related role. We must see how you have met and/or exceeded targets.
- Ability to hold high-level business conversations, advise business leadership on strategic brand/marketing ideas, and collaborate with a wide range of people and stakeholders, internally and externally, to achieve results.
- Strong and ongoing knowledge of the tech and SaaS ecosystem generally, and the Human Capital Management sector specifically.
- A curious mind and constantly evolving creative approach to solving problems.
- A good eye for tracking changes in category, competitor, and consumer events, and preparing the SHR brand to adapt.
- Must also possess the discipline and intuition to ensure the brand maintains a strong voice, focus, and intention in its positioning, which must be consistent across markets and product verticals.
- Demonstrable expertise in developing and executing an effective growth-first marketing strategy that drives tangible results by utilizing actionable insights, technical campaign management, ABM/CBM, alignment with the Brand Key Vision, and other internal strategic tools.
- Capacity for mentorship and inspiration that can ensure the growth and well-being of team members.
- Must be able to understand how channels and consumers interact, and utilize gaps in favor of the brand. Includes being able to develop, advocate for, adapt, and deploy optimal budgets and partnerships in the brand's interests.
- Composure under pressure and experience in managing teams against tight deadlines and multiple projects.
