Purpose of the Role :
Design, Develop & Implement operating policies, strategies and tactics that may involve the interpretation and application of overall Organizational strategy
To lead a team of individuals and ensure that the team meets its goals.
The role also involves effectively engaging in operational management and contributing to process improvements
Job Responsibilities :
- To achieve budgeted Sales, profitability and growth targets as per short term (annual) and long term (3 years) business plan of the assigned region
- Job Activity Formulating a Marketing Business Plan and presenting the business plan to the Management for approval.
- Formulating annual marketing milestones, revenue and growth targets and plans (business segment-wise and product wise) based on the business plan.
- Developing proposals, quotations and tenders for enquiries and negotiating terms to secure sales opportunities to meet targets
- Support the team members to achieve their targets and the objectives of the Company.
- Developing a comprehensive MIS on competitor intelligence and market scenario mapping
- Reviewing the current portfolio of products / business segments and recommend reorganizing / rationalization of portfolios
- Develop and implement events calendar and plan based on annual and quarterly budgets
- Adhere to the budgets for the various events and strive to bring about cost saving
- Manage a wide portfolio of integrated marketing services including marketing communication, activation, events and digital.
- Lead the marketing team & coordinate with cross functional resources for timely and effective execution of events
- Analyse effectiveness of the events with the operations team to review and enhance the allocation and utilization of resources
- Strive to improve the ROI
- Explore opportunities for different verticals while interfacing with clients by understanding their unmet present and future needs
- Present and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products with new channels.
- Ensure that the marketing team develops creative concepts, proposals and new business presentations along with the creative and production department.
- Research and build relationships with new clients
- Attend trade and public events for networking and to secure new business opportunities to create a pipeline of sales opportunities
- Build effective relationships with client decision makers
- Secure key accounts for the organization and ensure effective servicing of key accounts
- Measuring customer feedback and take effective steps to enhance customer satisfaction and delight
- Ensuring repeated business from existing clients and effective business development for new clients
- Documenting systems and processes and creating SOPs
- Ensuring adherence by the Marketing team to the SOPs and the organization as a whole to client SLAs
- Frequently revisit the systems, processes and SOPs to bring about continuous improvement, effectiveness and efficiency
- Facilitate knowledge sharing of marketing digital data and customer insights and best practices to the team and other business units
- Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. .
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Inject creative thinking and new ideas in the market think team and create a culture of continuous learning and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Create vibrant result oriented marketing culture
- Identify training needs of self and team, coordinating with the Management for delivery of training and monitoring the effectiveness of training
- Providing on the job coaching and direction as necessary
- Developing a career path for every member of the team, creating a second line management team and mentoring a successor for self
