Head - Marketing - Cooking Appliances (10-15 yrs)
Strategic / Operational Management of Marketing Function :
- Develop, manage and implement creative, effective and successful marketing plans (under the guidance of CMO) for the Cooking Appliances broadly covering research to launch of new products / refreshing of existing products and innovating new products
- The role is expected to drive and deliver end-to-end product and brand positioning through innovative initiatives that lead to strong customer association and unique experience with Cooking Appliances.
- Further this role leads the outcomes of Returns on Marketing Investments right from planning of those investments to execution and driving value from the same.
Brand Building :
- Work towards understanding what will motivate our Customers and ensure proper brand positioning that would provide a strong marketplace advantage to Products.
- Develop and deliver integrated brand-focused marketing plan that reinforces the brand promise at each point of customer contact.
- Facilitate a differentiated brand awareness, value, accessibility and emotional connection of the brand with its customers through innovative plans and architecture
- Ensure proper brand consistency and identity in the market that facilitates a strong growth in terms of Business and profitability
- Subsequently, identify the optimum Marketing & Media push needed to translate Strategy and Market Dynamics into results
Consumer Insights / Market Research :
- Develop insights into the Consumers mindsets and behaviors through Research, analysis and evaluate the competitive market environment with regards to customer profile/aspirations, demographics, product mix, etc.
- Qualitative and quantitative researches for driving Product Innovations, New Product Development, Economic Scan and Competitor Strategies on methods of marketing and distribution
- Basis the Insights, monitor and evaluate opportunities and put in place right strategies were necessary for ensuring right Product Positioning, Channel positioning, Merchandising, Trade marketing initiatives, Local marketing programs, and allied marketing activities
Digital Media Marketing :
- Explore the right avenues of digital marketing through the Digital marketing Team to attract customers to Products and features.
- Evolve complete Digital Media marketing initiatives that consistently interact with the customers and showcases the Features and Benefits of Products.
Product Development & Project Management :
- Understand customer/market requirements, trends, consumer behaviors and aspirations and culminate the same through Product Development with differentiated USPs.
- Identify areas for growth and create strategic product line road maps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features in existing or new product line-ups and a road map through Project Plans.
- Develop new product features and functionality in partnership with the Quality and Business Unit's and own the product development from concept to final product offering for sale to consumers.
- Interface with Sourcing team and Business Units to create a Marketing and Brand driven Product Portfolio and suggest colors, finishing material, shape and product design as per the Market requirements.
Pricing & Trade Marketing :
- Work with Business Unit heads and senior team to develop and execute business strategy by way of formulating pricing policies, reviewing merchandising activities, sales promotions, and display plans.
- Develop & execute marketing ATL/ BTL plans with an advertising agency and work closely with Business Units for effective channel and promotion strategies for the product.
- Oversee the designing of vertical specific POS material and Packaging that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of the products for enhancing in-shop branding and support the channel partners.
- Develop various trade activation and promotional schemes to enhance sales and/or penetration in strategically important areas/ locations.
- Coordinate with internal/external partners and teams/agencies to develop marketing collaterals - catalogs, brochures, in-shop, dealer boards etc.
- Drive market expansion, advertising, promotions, footfall generation activities to ensure maximum profitability.
- Monitor Pricing and gross margins of the products to be offered in the market in addition to Product Positioning and Implementation Strategies
Marcomm & PR : Ensure a consistent flow of communication (through the PR Team) with the target consumers, market, channel, agencies, etc about the latest updates, information, and lineups of Usha Products.
