Head - International Sales - BFS (15-18 yrs)
THE JOB
The company is looking for a process driven, experienced, dynamic, business-development expert with strong domain knowledge and entrepreneurial attitude
1. To take charge of raising Assets in Alternates (PMS, AIF, Advisory etc) from Overseas towards building a healthy AuM of Alternates in / over the next 3 to 5 years
2. To finalize a 3-to-5-year Plan - Sales strategy, Product strategy, Org structure, Resource plan for Sales, with focus on Fund Raising from Overseas
3. To build a strong pipeline of high quality, profitable, compliant & sustainable fund flows from Overseas
THE CANDIDATE
1. 15-18 years' experience (Age 40+/-5) with some part of the experience focused on business development in the Alternates business - PMS, Cat 3 AIF. Cat 2 AIF etc
2. Worked with a growth-oriented medium to large asset manager, financial services company or bank as part of more recent experience
3. Good, strong experience of 4-5 years promoting Alternates/Advisory in Overseas markets
4. Very good understanding of the Domestic & Global Alternates business - landscape, products, structures, competition, trends etc
5. Very familiar (knowledge and experience) with regulations (FEMA etc), tax implications, tax/investor friendly jurisdictions including our GIFT City
6. Familiarity with/access to bigger clients (HNIs and Institutions) and prominent players in the distribution space (Institutional Distributors, Wealth Managers, Family Offices etc) in the Alternates/Advisory business overseas
7. Demonstrated track record of building a robust, sustainable, profitable fund flow in Alternates - Domestically and from Overseas
8. 4-5 years of recent experience in raising funds from overseas
9. Must have a go-to book of high potential Overseas investors/distributors with some interest in investing in India
10. Must be entrepreneurial with high initiative and drive. Strong stakeholder management and result orientation.
- Strong people skills, relationship management skills, commercial skills, ethics and compliance orientation.
- Be a good communicator with strong closing skills
11. Must be stable and have an average tenure of 4+ years
