Head - Digital Marketing & Sales - Jewellery (12-15 yrs)
Overview :
- We are looking for an ambitious and energetic B2C Marketing & Sales leader. This is a critical and influential role, and the person will be part of leadership team. If you love the challenge of building a unique and niche brand for a high value/ high involvement consumer product jewellery we would love to meet with you!
Role :
- Oversee all matters related to Brand, Digital Marketing, Media Management, Demand Generation and Fulfillment, Influencer Marketing, Event Management, Partnerships/Alliances
- Formulate the marketing and brand strategy for India and international markets (primarily Indian diaspora). Focus is people residing in/ originating from South India.
- Lead the overall calendar of integrated 360-marketing and brand campaigns across channels - digital, print, radio. Oversee campaign development across all aspects : creative, media, content, target audience, schedules etc. Campaigns should build brand awareness, retain customers and encourage repeat purchase, generate positive word-of-mouth, generate new leads, promote new launches.
- Work closely with the founder/ CEO and other functional heads to drive demand generation and fulfillment. The product category is such that you have to get people to ask for it; it is NOT a push product unlike low value/ low involvement consumer product categories. You have to generate excitement about the product, while maintaining - exclusivity- among the target audiences.
- Identify and build strong relationships with potential partners who could give you reach and presence with key target audiences, typically, those businesses that are similar in concept for eg. ethnic restaurants, ethnic boutiques, and the like.
- Design, develop & implement effective and consistent media engagements across formats. Drive consistent communication through standardized thought leadership narratives that build upon the exclusivity and uniqueness of the company's products.
- Identify and build a base of influencers independent persons who can drive positive brand engagement.
- Monitor and analyse campaign effectiveness and consistently improve impact and ROI.
- Develop and implement omni-channel demand fulfillment mechanisms, aligned to the business growth objectives.
- Lead Social Media organic strategy including content creation, driving relevant metrics including follower growth among target audiences.
- Ensure capability development of self and team members by actively participating and leveraging training opportunities.
Qualifications : Graduation in any discipline and MBA with specialization in Marketing/ Communications.
Skills and Experience :
- 12-15 years- experience in B2C Marketing/Brand Management, including at least 3 years- leading the function for a small/ rapidly growing start-up that has very little money to spend!
- Culturally aware of Southern India
- Strong understanding of messaging (customer/influencer) and positioning
- Ability to think out of the box but be realistic enough to figure out what will/ will not work
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to set up things from scratch
- Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- A hands-on, participative, leadership style that encourages creative problem solving
- Follows compassion & empathy with a solution-oriented mindset
