Role & Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Plan approaches and pitches. Work on NPD and Compliance to develop new products.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Client Retention :
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Work on NPD, QA, Planning and Production team to meet customer needs.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Business Development Planning :
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiation.
- Perform and maintain competitive analysis and market research.
- Good understanding and ability to identify business development opportunities.
- Conducting in depth customer data analysis and customer profiling.
- Handling existing tie-ups with third party affiliate platform and developing new tie-ups.
- Implementing customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Overseeing and executing the social media strategies for the company.
- Maximizing sales and profitability
- Online management of brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness on amazon, Flipkart, Big Basket..
Management and Research :
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
Key Result Areas :
- Identification of new customers and new market segments
- Contribution to the increase in sales revenue on ecommerce,
- Customer engagement and complaint handling
- MIS and sales revenue and channel analysis
- Quick responsiveness to customer queries and time management
- Coordination with different verticals within the organization like NPD, compliance, production, planning and dispatch
Personal Attributes :
- Excellent presentation skills & written and oral communication skills and also have very good knowledge of computers (Excel/PPT etc)
- Strong Leadership skills
- High level of integrity and character
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team. Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
- Strong customer service focus
- Must be from food industry preferably exposure from Modern Trade, General Trade or e-Commerce
