- Experience : 7 to 12 years

- Shift Timing : Day Shift

- Working Days : Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Develop deep expertise in specialized research tools and techniques, databases and sources; should focus on developing innovative approaches in estimating market segment and size, supplier market share, customer market share, technology analysis, etc., in petrochemicals/specialty markets and subsequently write research reports catering to client needs

2. Understand customer needs in the chemicals industry

3. Bring an industry understanding of the petrochemicals and specialty chemicals sector, which would include products, customer segments, competitive forces, and trends shaping the industry

4. Understand macroeconomic indicators and their implication on demand/supply and pricing scenarios

5. Understand pricing dynamics of the petrochemical industry

6. Identify and recommend potential strategic markets and solution areas by cross referencing available primary and secondary data along with prior knowledge of chemical suppliers/formulators/end-use industry manufacturers and business processes

7. Analyze financial results of companies and comprehend analyst reports to obtain key insights into the performance of a company

8. Create financial reports of companies after analyzing their performance from annual/quarterly filings, company reports and presentations, transcripts, analyst reports, etc.

9. Benchmark financial performance of companies using various ratios and parameters, chosen based on their relevance per industry or industry segment of focus

10. Take proactive role in the quality control process for the client, and coach and mentor more junior staff

11.Conduct and initiate various training, allied activities with the team and the group

Candidate Profile Must have:

1. Should have worked for 7- 12 years with a reputed firm in Chemical Research and Analysis

2. Good knowledge of databases and latest MS Office tools

3. Graduate/Post-graduate in chemical engineering/chemistry/polymer technology

4. Seasoned research professional with a strong focus on petrochemicals industry

5. Updated with current events in the industry and ability to identify key trends shaping the industry

6. Knowledge of major customer segments, common products, and product types

7. Knowledge of major players in the industry and competitive landscape

8. Understanding of industry standard processes and methodologies

9. Understanding of the industry regulatory environment

10. Highly adept at understanding business issues and translating them into research priorities

11. Financial knowledge - analyzing financial statements and key ratios

12. Knowledge of database tools - Bloomberg, Reuters, Factiva
