Gradeup - Manager/Associate - Category Management - Civil Services (3-7 yrs)
Role Objective:
We are seeking an excellent Category Manager to own the complete P&L responsibility of the entire Category as per AOP.
What You- ll Do:
- Ownership to plan and drive Top Line numbers aggressively through various avenues of collaborating with different departments
- Ownership of keeping track of ROI of each revenue generating activity to ensure Bottom Line is within limits
- Provide financial planning inputs- Analyze the business trends, shifts, spikes/dips, and parameters that would, directly and indirectly, make an impact on the revenue generated. Planning and finalizing the pricing strategy for products.
- Collaboration with below teams in order to set the smooth & seamless process:
Sales Team :
- Work closely with the Inside sales team to push Category revenue by gathering feedback on courses, customers and lead quality as well as identifying the right strategy and services to be covered in the business development (lead generation) activity.
- Plan regular Sales-Category meet with BD Heads and BDMs for qualitative inputs and Gap analysis.
- Review Task performance and analyse Task conversion movement with Sales team
CRM/Growth Team:
- Plan and conceptualize targeted campaigns to drive launch numbers
- Analyze each stage of funnel (Launch/Activate/Prime/Conversion) and plan activities with Growth team to ensure higher numbers at each stage.
Marketing Team :
- Plan external engagement activities for demand generation for the category
- Detailed Category marketing calendar for better effectiveness of revenue numbers.
Program Team :
- Collaborating with Program team for planning of course launch, faculty hiring and promotion.
- Clearly stating out input levers like Free trials as a planned schedule for category growth
- Regular Category-Program meet with Program Managers for feedback on courses/faculty
- Use communication and collaboration tools to provide a high level of visibility and transparency around KPIs and results to executives and other teams
- Provide line management for all direct reports, complete annual reviews and conduct performance management for the Growth team. Proactively present succinct, fact and logic based recommendations to the Executive Team
- Recruit, motivate, mentor and lead a high calibre team of Associate Category Manager and Category Growth Analyst
What You- ll Need:
- 5+ years of Sales experience in Inside Sales preferably in Edu tech or E commerce or high-growth start-up.
- An MBA PGDM Grad. is preferred
- Hands on experience in setting up and managing category team with quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Experience in handling category as end-to-end responsibility in previous organizations.
The candidate must know how to drive matrix efficiently, mapping best practices from the industry and check employee productivity level.
