We- re in search of an Editor-in-Chief to lead our in-house content, writing, design, print and publishing team. You- ll work across all of our content projects, print, online, radio, to write, re-write, edit, proof-read content before it goes to print, press, online, on air, in both Hindi and English.

Full-Time Position

Going to School creates design-driven stories to teach children in government schools 21st Century Entrepreneurial Skills at school. In Delhi and Mumbai, we are a team of writers, researchers, designers, artists and content creators. We design stories, graphic novels, radio and television shows to teach children skills. In Bihar, we have a MoU to work in 2,500 secondary government schools teaching 250,000 kids in Grade 9 skills at school through stories, games and weekly action projects. www.goingtoschool.com

We- re looking for a perfectionist who works at speed, loves deadlines and meets them, is on-time, a leader who has the skills to deliver yourself, a self-motivated team member who can hit the ground running, and work independently and quickly in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will have done this before for a while either in a publishing company [print or online], journalism, writing children's stories/content, script-writing with exceptional proficiency in both English and Hindi.

Location: New Delhi or Mumbai

Role:

- Commission content based on research

- Write new stories, content every month

- Edit, proofread and copyedit all content, stories, books, reports, online, offline, at speed.

- Copyedit and proofread other content, including subtitles for movies, online, social media posts.

- Check text to ensure it is well written and logically structured, rewrite rework to you satisfaction.

Experience:

- Five years of experience in writing, editing, copyediting, publishing, media content creation in English and/or Hindi, ideally both.

- A love for children's literature, content, possibility.

Remuneration: Commensurate with experience
