Gilberts Group - Sales Professional - Industrial Equipment (1-3 yrs)
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new and repeat commercial and industrial business to meet and exceed monthly established revenue goals.
- Regularly call upon clients in commercial, institutional, healthcare, recycling, hotel laundry, and other businesses.
- Creating invoices for our clients,
- Possess the motivation and ability to not only sell equipment, but also to install and repair said equipment as needed.
- Consistently conduct scheduled phone blocks, and prospect clients to establish on-going relationships through follow-up, availability, attentiveness, caring, and a warm and positive attitude.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company's available services, lines of business, and pricing structures, and regularly offer necessary services to existing clients.
- Anticipate each week in advance and plan out the days ahead. You will be given the freedom of setting your own schedule, which to be successful, would require anticipating each client's needs ahead of time, and allowing for seamless communication and flexibility as schedules change.
- Build relationships and increase visibility through participation in company-sponsored activities as required. Attend clean shows, chamber of commerce and other events as necessary.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Measurable accomplishments based upon meeting goals through persistence, ambition, drive, and self-determination are expected.
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility are required, as this role involves a great deal of independence daily, requiring time to be well spent pursuing viable leads, managing prospects, building relationships and being available to perform installs and repairs, sometimes during very tight timeframes (according to machine availability), perhaps weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
- An individual who owns the role and cares about his/her own success, as well as the client's satisfaction, would do well.
- Responsible and dedicated hard workers who possess moral integrity are sought.
- The ability to communicate with the Tingue sales manager and take ownership, asking questions as necessary, openly expressing the need for assistance is a must.
Qualifications :
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
- An outgoing personality and professional communication skills are necessary.
- Previous repair and/or installation work a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor's degree is desired.
Specific position criteria :
- A great deal of this role could include being on the road from several days, to several weeks, per month. Evening and weekend hours are expected to accommodate various customer needs, and days could be long.
- This position requires that the ideal candidate be willing to get her his/her hands dirty, and oftentimes, during on-site repairs and installs, be able to climb, lift, and perform the physical characteristics of the job, including heights, and various heat levels for extended periods of time.
