Position: General Manager - Auto Part Sales
Business Unit: Automobile Parts
Business Area: Pan Oman Operations.
No. of positions: One.
Qualification and Experience: Graduate in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with MBA, in Marketing from a reputed institute, plus hands-on experience of 20+ years in sales and marketing of AUTO PARTS, Batteries, Lubricants in the GCC of which at least 5+ years should be related to experience at a Senior Leadership position, wherein he is responsible for driving sales and marketing strategy, leading and building a motivated team to achieve business goals and objectives, handling responsibility of driving the top line and bottom line of business.
Job Areas and Responsibilities: This is Sales and Marketing Operational Role, hence expects the role holder to:
1. Take ownership of the Part Sales business area for pan Oman operations, with focus on Revenue generation, collection and Profitability.
2. Drive the team to consistently achieve the business targets and objectives, while maintaining top line and bottom line growth on a consistent basis.
3. Strategically drive market expansion and penetration for business growth and leadership.
4. Ensure that business presence and growth in maintained and grown in each and every market channel and segment and ensure respect for / goodwill of the Company brand is maintained in the market place.
5. Regularly engage with Strategic / Key Customers and Major Accounts for business development and growth.
6. Strategize annual business and marketing plans, various marketing schemes and ensure proper and effective execution and implementation of the plans in market and that various supporting departmental provide effective and timely support to drive business growth and achieve customer satisfaction.
7. Proactively engage with Credit team, Procurement team, Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure seamless and effective support and delivery to business.
8. Ensure timely and proper capturing of Market and Competition data for market intelligence and drive analytics for strategizing business growth plan and marketing schemes.
9. Drive the team in a fair, transparent and unbiased manner to promote healthy work culture and environment to build trust and drive productivity.
10. Analyse the business MIS for strategic initiative- both capex and revex for the year, drive process control and ensure conformity to business operative guidelines and policies, while getting the business carried out through the team.
11. Analyse business performance on periodic basis to ensure course corrections, implementation of process controls, and provide timely support and inputs to the team for improving business performance and to achieve targets.
12. Analyse business revenue data and target aging collections. Also intervene for timely and effective action and drive efforts to ensure working capital flow is maintained.
13. Analyse and assess the team on performance areas for rewards, development of skills and drive the skill development agenda alongside achievement of Omanisation targets.
14. Ensure that the team issues are addressed by respective support departments in time, to maintain team motivation levels and to drive team productivity for business growth.
15. Drive reward and recognition programmes in the team for ensuring higher level of motivation and to drive low achievers to deliver better performance.
Essential Knowledge and Skills :- Should have :
1. Sound knowledge of Genuine Auto Parts for multiple brands apart from batteries and lubes, with in depth understanding of the product catalogue, pricing, sourcing and marketing campaigns to be run to drive business.
2. Good knowledge of Auto Part Market in GCC with respect to the various brands, customer expectations, competition strategy and pricing, non-genuine products in the market and good understanding of different market segments and channels.
3. Strong focus on Customer Service and able to drive team for driving customer satisfaction levels on a consistent basis.
4. Excellent Communication, Presentation and Influencing skills;
5. Strong Negotiation and marketing skills;
6. Good knowledge of international business transactions; strong ability in gathering market intelligence to drive business analysis for strategic contributions.
7. Proven track record of developing and motivating a multi-national, multi-cultural team to further strong performance culture and ownership skills.
8. Strong ability to be a Team player in diverse / laterals teams and influence stakeholders through his leadership qualities to drive business excellence.
9. Must have expert level skills in MS Office and good SAP skills to manage data and its interpretation.
10. Potential to be a business leader in the years to come.
