General Manager - Sales - Assessment (2-5 yrs)
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a rockstar sales professional with a proven track record in outbound prospecting and hunting. As a General Manager - Sales, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth, particularly by acquiring new clients and expanding the customer base. A disciplined, results-driven approach to managing sales pipelines, cold calling, and CRM management is crucial for this role. A background in B2B sales, specifically in the insurance industry, is highly preferred.
Core Responsibilities:
Client Prospecting & Engagement:
- Initiate and build relationships with prospective clients, understand their business requirements, and position the company's employee benefits solutions effectively.
Sales Presentations & Demos:
- Present the company's value proposition to C-suite executives (CXOs), senior HR, and Finance teams (CFOs, CHROs), providing tailored solutions based on their needs.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Own and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing. Forecast sales effectively and maintain an up-to-date CRM to track prospects and sales activity.
Collaboration & Feedback:
- Provide feedback to the product team based on customer conversations to help refine and improve offerings.
- Work closely with marketing and pre-sales teams to ensure a high-quality sales pipeline.
Outbound Prospecting & Cold Calling:
- Proactively source new leads and business opportunities through outbound prospecting methods like cold calling, emails, and networking.
Sales Performance & Target Achievement:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently through disciplined sales activities, focusing on new client acquisition and relationship building.
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain high levels of communication and responsiveness with prospects throughout the sales cycle to ensure a smooth, efficient process.
Job Requirements:
Experience & Skills:
B2B Sales Experience:
- At least 3 years of direct sales experience in B2B, ideally in the insurance broking industry, specifically with employee benefits (EB) products.
Hunting & New Client Acquisition:
- Strong background in outbound sales (cold calling, prospecting) and new client acquisition, with a focus on sales closures.
C-suite Sales Expertise:
- Experience selling to senior decision-makers such as Founders, CHROs, HR teams, and CFOs is mandatory.
Sales Target Performance:
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
CRM Proficiency:
- Highly disciplined in managing the sales pipeline and maintaining an up-to-date CRM.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
