General Manager - Customer Service - Automobile (8-20 yrs)
We are hiring for the position, General Manager Service for a leading automobile dealership company in India.

Ideal candidate :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager of Service with 8-20 years of experience within automobile industry in Mumbai to lead the service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Operational Management :
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including repair, maintenance, and customer service.
- Ensure the department operates efficiently, meets productivity goals, and adheres to service standards.
2. Team Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and develop service team members, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training, and foster a positive work environment.
3. Customer Service Excellence :
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
4. Financial Oversight :
- Manage the service department's budget, including expenses, labor costs, and parts inventory.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
5. Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and industry regulations.
6. Inventory and Resource Management :
- Oversee the management of parts and inventory to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary parts and tools.
7. Sales and Marketing :
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote service specials, warranty programs, and maintenance packages.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and address potential service- related sales opportunities.
8. Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare and present regular reports on service department performance, including key metrics and operational results.
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for growth and improvement.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a General Manager, or similar role in an automobile dealership.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in current role handling good volume of around 1500-1800 vehicles). Total Experience ranging from 8 to 20 years.
- Strong knowledge of automotive service operations, repair processes, and customer service practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
