About FPDI: Foundation for Population for development in India (FPD) is a non-profit organization working with children, women and youth of the underprivileged communities of Vakola, Santacruz to tackle educational and livelihood issues through multiple interventions. The approach of holistic development focused in a concentrated geographic location enables to positively impact individual, their families and their community. As part of livelihood program FPDI supports Self Help Groups with various vocational and self-development trainings enabling them to become a confident financially independent women

The Udaan brand is developed to provide a marketing platform to the women artisans of Self Help Groups. Through Udaan they would be able to reach out to new consumers by tapping in the online markets and offline retail opportunities. Udaan develops and sells eco-friendly lifestyle and fashion products. It provides sustainable choice to the end buyer while simultaneously providing supplementary income to the women artisans belonging to low income groups.

About the internship

Responsibility

- Create marketing strategy/plan for all programs including social media, adwords and blogs

- Create marketing collateral's including presentations, social media banners and promotional mailers

- Undertake aggressive online promotion for handmade products created by Udaan Brand

- Create a social media engagement plan to deepen customer relationship

- Identify sources for online/offline sale of products and research the process of listing, partnerships and associations

- Outreach to retailers for receiving shelf space in their stores.

Eligibility Criteria

- Excellent writing skills

- Basic design skills will be an added advantage

- Keenly interested in marketing

- Extrovert and outspoken
