FDA India - Public Relation Officer (3-5 yrs)
Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate in Public Relations (PR) and Communications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PR strategies, media relations, and corporate communications. They will play a pivotal role in developing and executing PR campaigns to enhance our brand's visibility and reputation.
What you will do :
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to promote our organization's objectives and initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
- Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to targeted media contacts.
- Coordinate and manage press conferences, media interviews, and other PR events.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, social media, and content teams to ensure alignment of messaging and branding.
- Prepare and edit internal and external communications, including newsletters, speeches, and executive presentations.
- Assist in crisis communication management and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Analyze PR campaign performance and provide regular reports to management.
What you will need:
- Any Bachelors degree. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience of minimum 2 years working in PR, communications, or related field, preferably in a Tier 1 agency or corporate.
- Strong understanding of PR principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and PR software/tools (e.g., Cision, Melt water).
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in crisis communication management is a plus.
- Knowledge of Higher Education and Talent Mobility industry trends and familiarity with relevant media landscapes is preferred.
