Job Title : Business Development Manager

Location : Chennai, Bengaluru

Job Summary :

The Business Development Manager for Fashion Apparel is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and driving revenue growth for the fashion brand. This role requires a deep understanding of the fashion industry, market trends, and the competitive landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

Market Research and Analysis :

- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities.

- Analyze market data to develop and implement effective business development strategies.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management :

- Identify and target potential clients and business partners in the fashion industry.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, and distributors.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with new and existing clients.

Sales and Revenue Growth :

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business development targets.

- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment with business goals.

- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue goals.

Brand Promotion and Marketing :

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.

- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

- Develop marketing materials and presentations to support business development efforts.

Strategic Planning and Execution :

- Develop and execute business plans to achieve long-term growth objectives.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations.

- Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to stay competitive.

Team Collaboration and Leadership :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing.

- Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members and sales representatives.

- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Preferences :

- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.

- Hands on experience in Retail Expansion, Mall Leasing, Franchise Management, Exclusive store launch etc.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the fashion industry.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

- Strong understanding of the fashion industry, market trends, and consumer behavior.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

- Willingness to travel as needed.
