Executive - Sales - Solar Products (2-5 yrs)

Overview :

The Solar Sales Representative promotes and sale solar energy solutions to residential, commercial, or industrial clients. This role involves educating potential customers on the benefits of switching to solar energy, performing site assessments, providing accurate pricing, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition :

- Identify and qualify potential customers through networking, cold calling, referrals, and canvassing.

- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.

- Educate customers on solar products, services, and financial incentives.

Sales Presentations :

- Conduct in-person or virtual sales presentations for prospective customers.

- Explain the benefits of solar energy, including environmental impact, energy savings, and available government incentives or tax credits.

- Perform site evaluations to determine the feasibility of solar installation.

Sales Process Management :

- Work closely with customers to customize solar energy solutions based on their needs and preferences.

- Provide detailed proposals and quotes, including financial analysis and potential savings from solar energy.

- Manage and track the entire sales process from lead generation to final contract signing.

Customer Relationship Management :

- Maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales cycle and after installation to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and follow-up requests.

- Maintained records of customer interactions and transactions in CRM software.

Collaboration :

- Work with installation teams to ensure proper system installation.

- Coordinate with finance teams regarding customer financing options and approvals.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience in sales, preferably in solar energy or renewable energy industries.

- Strong understanding of solar power products, services, and financing options.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to customers.

- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.

- Ability to perform site evaluations and basic energy assessments.

Skills :

- Salesmanship : Demonstrated ability to close deals and meet sales targets.

- Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of solar systems, energy consumption, and related technologies.

- Customer Focus : Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.

- Problem-Solving : Ability to address customer concerns and offer customized solutions.

- Time Management : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads and follow-up activities.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (preferred).

- Solar energy certifications (a plus).

Compensation :

- Base salary with commissions based on sales performance.

- Potential bonuses for exceeding targets.

- Benefits package (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).

Job Type :
