Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the job includes:
- Assessing client health
- Formulating realistic and worthwhile goals for your clients
- Crafting the right diet and exercise plans for individual clients
- Support and motivate clients with regular meetings
- Keep track of client progress
- Researching how the body's functions are affected by nutrient supply
- Investigating the relationship between genes and nutrients
- Studying how diet affects metabolism
- Examining the process of nourishment and the association between diet, disease and health
- Providing health advice and promoting healthy eating
- Educating health professionals and the public about nutrition
- Keep up with the latest nutritional science research
- After creating a nutritional plan, will continue to monitor their client's progress and any changes or improvements to their health.
- Assisting people to identify and change dietary habits that could lead to future health problems. Should have a strong understanding of the connection between diet and disease and how nutrition and lifestyle factors impact overall well being.
- In addition to providing nutritional assessment, advice and ongoing support to clients, may be involved in coordinating community health initiatives, promoting nutritional education and researching population health.
Skills required:-
- Analytical skills - Must keep up to date with the latest nutrition research. Should be able to interpret scientific studies and translate nutrition science into practical eating advice.
- Compassion - Must be caring and empathetic when helping clients address dietary issues and any related emotions.
- Listening skills - Must listen carefully to understand clients- goals and concerns, as part of team to improve the health of a patient and need to listen to team members when constructing diet/nutrition plans.
- Organizational skills - Should have the ability to stay organized. Management dietitians, for example, must consider both the nutritional needs of their clients and the costs of meals.
- Problem-solving skills - Must evaluate the health status of patients and determine the most appropriate food choices for a client to improve overall health or manage a disease.
- Speaking skills - Must explain complicated topics in a way that people with less technical knowledge can understand. Must be able to clearly explain eating plans to clients and to other healthcare professionals involved in a patient's care.

Qualification:
A degree in nutritional science, dietetics, or food science; or alternatively a life sciences degree that incorporates human physiology and biochemistry. A postgraduate qualification in nutrition can be helpful and is essential for candidates without a suitable first degree in nutrition or dietetics.

Experience - 1 to 3 years of experience and exposure (Fitness & Medical device industry experience preferred)
Working Days - 5 Days
Working Time - 9.00 am to 6.00 p.m
